AMMB appoints Jamie Ling as new CEO

AMMB Holdings Bhd has appointed Ling Fou-Tsong as its new Group CEO and CEO of AmBank (M) Berhad, effective from November 23, 2023.

Ling, a chartered accountant, previously served as the Group CFO since 2017, overseeing AmBank Group’s financial strategy and implementation. Ling has a comprehensive career portfolio that spans corporate, investment, and retail banking, as well as treasury, risk management, and financial management.

With over 17 years of leadership experience in various international banking institutions, Jamie has held key roles in Malaysia, the UK, and Northeast Asia, including as the regional CFO of Standard Chartered Bank for Greater China and Northeast Asia.

AMMB board believes that Jamie’s extensive experience and strong leadership skills will further strengthen AmBank’s position in the industry and drive the bank to greater success. Meanwhile, Sulaiman, the outgoing CEO, will retire on November 22, 2023.
