Allen Career Institute names Nitin Kukreja as CEO

India's premier education company Allen Career Institute has appointed Nitin Kukreja as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Last year, James Murdoch and Uday Shankar backed Bodhi Tree had acquired a 36% stake in Allen for $600 million.Under Nitin's leadership, Allen Career Institute will focus on delivering a digital-first consumer experience at scale, expanding Allen’s reach from 3.0 lakh students to 2.5 crore students.

Since announcing the strategic partnership with Bodhi Tree in April 2022, Allen has augmented its exceptional academic team with talent from large technology companies. Allen plans to further scale its digital team based in Bangalore to 200 by the end of the year.

He has been associated with Bodhi Tree Systems which invested fresh capital in Allen last year. Kukreja was appointed as a Director on the Board of Allen in June 2022. As a Director, he has worked closely with the leadership team at Allen and has been instrumental in shaping the business strategy and laying the foundation of the digital team.

Nitin Kukreja has accumulated more than twenty years of experience in various leadership, strategy, and investing roles across multiple sectors. In his most recent position, he served as the Managing Director of Marigold Park Capital Advisors (previously known as Lupa Systems, India), where he spearheaded investments in consumer-tech firms. This experience has given him a diverse and well-rounded perspective.
