Huang plans to make Vietnam Nvidia home

Nvidia is looking to establish a presence in Vietnam in order to develop the country's semiconductor industry, according to the Vietnamese government.

The US chipmaker's CEO, Jensen Huang, said during his first visit to the country that Nvidia considers Vietnam an important market and plans to set up a centre there, adding that the company views Vietnam as its home.

"The base will be for attracting talent from around the world to contribute to the development of Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem and digitalisation," the Vietnamese government statement cited Huang after his meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Vietnamese government has announced that Nvidia is looking to establish a presence in Vietnam to help develop the country's semiconductor industry. During his first visit to the country, Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, stated that Vietnam is an important market for the US chipmaker and that it plans to set up a centre there.

Huang also expressed that Nvidia views Vietnam as its home. Having already invested 250 million in Vietnam, Nvidia is scheduled to hold a meeting on Monday (11th of December) with Vietnamese tech companies and authorities to discuss cooperation deals on semiconductors.
