The announcement comes as a surprise to many, as long-time CEO Bennahmias had been a long-standing member of the company, Resta will be succeeding him after a very successful 30 year tenure at the company.

This passing  of the torch marks a seismic shift for the company and for the watch industry as a whole. Bennahmias was a trailblazer who shaped Audemars Piguet into one of the most desirable brands on the market and whose impact resounded throughout the luxury industry.

Resta's expertise lies predominantly in the cosmetic industry, where she has demonstrated her leadership skills by spearheading significant divisions and establishing global brands. Her extensive experience in the industry includes working with renowned companies such as Firmenich and Proctor & Gamble.

Mr. Bennahmias will remain as the CEO until Resta's official appointment begins next year. In expressing their gratitude, Bogliolo acknowledged Bennahmias' remarkable contribution to the company and his dedication to ensuring a seamless transition by staying until the end of the year.
